Mabel Glaser is a student at Mayo High School in Rochester, Minnesota, graduating in 2023. Mabel uses she/her pronouns. She enjoys reading, writing, singing, baking, and biking. She plays the trumpet in her school marching band, jazz band, and concert band. Mabel is passionate about animal rights and climate change. She attended Jewish summer camp as a preteen and teen, and feels that this has shaped her worldview and Jewish identity.

Maddie Solomon is a first year at Occidental College from Denver, Colorado, with an interest in political theory, education, and non-profit work. At Occidental, she worked as a Telefund employee/Ambassador and currently writes for The Occidental, the student-run newspaper. She is a first-year representative for the Hillel executive board and does extensive volunteering with the Upward Bound and Neighborhood Partnership Program—both programs that work with low-income, first generation youth.

Marika Campbell-Blue is a member of the class of 2022 at Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C. She is an honors student studying media and communications. Her first op-ed was published in her freshman year. She loves photography and photo essays. She is starting a nonprofit that encourages high school students to share their experiences with bullying. In 2020, Marika completed her first PSA in conjunction with the local TV station.

She wishes to become a professional dancer, and in her spare time she likes to teach dance, and hang out with her friends.

May Lafer-Kirtner is a member of the class of 2024 at South Eugene High School in Eugene, Oregon. She has been writing all her life, and after graduating, hopes to become a reporter and a novelist. After having a hard time in middle school, she started writing poetry and stories as an outlet for all of her most intense emotions—about friends, death, her chronic illness, and mental health struggles. She started trying to get published after reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower, because she hoped to remind other people they weren’t all alone.

She’s a member of her school AWARE group, which is an activism group for students of color at her school. She enjoys reading, painting, and journaling. Maya Rosenberg is in 12th grade and has been homeschooled her entire life. Through her years of pondering the dimensions of existence, she has embraced the art of creative writing as a method to record and experience the breathtaking acts of living on such a random hunk of rock in the middle of a dark expanse that no human can fully comprehend yet. She recognizes that expressing the nuances of human existence through written language can never fully capture everything about life and the specific experiences within it, but the challenge of weaving little fragments of knowledge into waves of artistry in the pursuit to describe how crazy and exhilarating it is to be alive is something that she finds to be an addictive adventure.

Maya Savin Miller is a senior at Polytechnic School in Pasadena, California. Her prose and poetry have appeared in Cargoes, Up North Lit, Hadassah, Battering Ram Journal, Bluefire, Skipping Stones, and jGirls+ Magazine and have been recognized by Princeton University, Hollins University, Columbia College, Rider College, Scholastic, Library of Congress, Skipping Stones, Blank Theatre National Young Playwrights Festival, and The Leyla Beban Foundation. A 2019 grant from the Dragon Kim Foundation and a 2020 grant from The Pollination Project have enabled Maya to launch A Life In Tapestry, the travelling exhibition of the tapestry work of Holocaust survivor and artist Trudie Strobel.

Meira Fiber-Munro is a member of the class of 2023 at Ida B Wells High School in Portland, Oregon. She is currently serving as Evergreen Region's 24th Doverit (vice president of Jewish Heritage) as an active member of BBYO and is an active member of Portland Ice Skating Club where they have been skating for almost eight years. She also enjoys any form of journalism, is a HUGE fan of anything true crime (especially Criminal Minds and Law and Order SVU!!) and is passionate about climate justice.
