Eden Harris is a member of the class of 2026 at Carnegie Vanguard High School in Houston, TX. Eden enjoys learning about chemistry and modern world history. She studies ballet and dances with her friends in K-Pop Club at school and likes to hike and explore nature in her free time.
Edie Cohen is a member of the class of 2024 at Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles, California. Edie is passionate about art history and visual arts, and she loves her dogs and spending time with her family and friends.
Ela Solmsen is an eighth grader at the Hannah Senesh Community Day School. She lives in Brooklyn, New York and loves all kinds of dance, including jazz, ballet, modern, and pointe. In addition to dance, she also loves to read and write.
Eleanor Sigel is a senior at Oak Park & River Forest High School in Oak Park, Illinois. She is a member of Junior States of America, Science Olympiad, Math Team, and Scholastic Bowl. Eleanor is passionate about books, economics, and politics. She enjoys reading and volunteering for political campaigns in her spare time.
Elena Eisenstadt is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is a member of the class of 2026 at the University of Chicago where she hopes to study history or sociology. In her free time, she enjoys talking with friends, eating Philly soft pretzels, and humming along to songs whose titles she usually doesn’t remember.
Eliana Goldin is from Atlanta, Georgia and has attended Modern Orthodox day school since she can remember. In her free time, she enjoys playing real instruments and the air guitar, playing sports, and following politics.
Eliana Pasternak is a member of the class of 2023 at the Jack Barrack Hebrew Academy in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. She plays on her school's tennis team and participates in a variety of clubs. In her free time, Eliana loves to read, write, and get outside.
Eliana Rosner is a member of the class of 2025 at Columbia Prep in New York, NY. She is an editor of her school's foreign language magazine, The Globe, a writer for her school's art and literary journal, CPJ, as well as an ardent member of her school's dance ensemble and concert chorale. When not studying, chatting, or sleeping, Eliana sings opera, then composes pop and classical music for fun.
Eliana Shapere is a sophomore at Barnard College. She is a musician, writer, and artist with a great love for cats.
Eliot Malis is a member of the class of 2026 at Sandy Spring Friends in Sandy Spring, Maryland. He spends his free time practicing witchcraft and streaming video games on Twitch. They are very passionate about social justice and their favorite subjects are math and philosophy.
Elise Anstey is a junior at The Bush School in Seattle, Washington. Her activities range from the school social committee and working at a local pizza parlor to volunteering for an organization that provides support to homeless youth. Elise enjoys photography and writing and is most often seen taking portraits of her friends.
Elisheva Parkoff is a junior at Denver Academy of Torah in Denver, Colorado. She is madly in love with all aspects of connection, whether it is through her youth group NCSY, or her favorite books. Shevi can often be found on the soccer field or reading in the beautiful scenery of Colorado.
Eliza Oppenheimer graduated from Stuyvesant High School in 2024. She thinks about writing more than she actually writes and knows that middle sisters are the best sisters.
Elizabeth Bernardini is a junior at Shaker High School from Albany, New York. She is a competitive figure skater, skating 6 days a week for 3 hours a day year round. She loves reading and is extremely passionate about writing.
Elizabeth Shvarts is a 16-year-old junior at Staten Island Technical High School, She is a first-generation American of Russian Jewish origin.
Ella Britton is a member of the class of 2023 at the Berkeley Carroll School in Brooklyn, New York. She is the leader of the Jewish Culture Club as well as the Psychology Club at her school. Ella is also very passionate about theater, and is currently playing Elle Woods in her school’s production of Legally Blonde. In her free time, Ella enjoys taking personality quizzes, watching video essays, and analyzing her friends’ birth charts. Despite the hate, she’s a proud Gemini.
Ella Persky is a member of the class of 2025 at Mountain View High School in Mountain View, California. She is a competitive dancer, and she is passionate about leadership and journalism. In her spare time, if she isn't baking chocolate cakes, you can find her reading and adding to her ever-growing book collection.
Ella Zedd is a member of the class of 2022 at Druid Hills High School in Atlanta, Georgia, where she is a member of both the Varsity Swim team and Varsity Tennis team. In her free time she likes to hike, play guitar and hang out with her friends.
Elle Rosenfeld is a sophomore at Phoenix Country Day School in hot and sunny Arizona. She is a swimmer, (beginner) rower, and lover of labradors and a good time.
Emanuelle Sippy is a high school senior in Lexington, Kentucky, and is so happy to return for her third year as a jGirls+ editor and art department head. She co-directs the Prichard Committee Student Voice Team, collaborates on the Education Justice Collective's Move School Forward Campaign, and organizes with Future Coalition. Emanuelle enjoys cooking, exploring the intersections of art and activism, and conversations about everything from poetry to politics.
Emilia Cooper is from Brooklyn, New York, and is an Economics Major at Bard College. Emi is an active social justice organizer, with a focus on carceral systems reform. She is currently the leader of Bard New Orleans Exchange, a Trustee Leader Scholars (TLS) project at Bard in which students spend summer and winter breaks volunteering for carceral justice organizations in NOLA. Emi is also in the preliminary stages of developing a pre-college summer program for formerly incarcerated young people in Hudson Valley, New York. Emi is also an Open Society University Network (OSUN) Global Fellow, on the Advisory Council of Bard Center for Civic Engagement, and a program fellow for Bard Engaged Liberal Arts and Sciences. Emi takes ballet class and engages in creative pursuits on campus. She enjoys hiking, writing, and reading tarot cards in her spare time.
Emilie Tackett is an 11th grader at Tates Creek High School in Lexington, KY. She enjoys FaceTiming her USY friends from all over the country and playing lacrosse and guitar. She is also the president of her youth group and loves to bake challah.
Emily Bebenek is a senior at Mountain Brook High School. She lives in Birmingham, Alabama, with the actual cutest dog ever. She loves reading, writing, and–strangely enough—public speaking.
Emily Duckworth is a freshman at the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. She is majoring in political science while on a pre-med track and is a member of the Perlmutter Jewish Studies Fellowship on campus. In her free time, she enjoys reading and running.
Emily Knopf is a senior at SAR High School. She lives in Teaneck, NJ and has passions for Yiddishikeit, music, animals, peanut butter, podcasts, green tea, and deep conversations.
Emily Maremont is a member of the class of 2025 at University High School in San Francisco, California. She is a member of her school’s a cappella group, and the leader of an affinity group for students with diverse family structures. Emily enjoys writing stories for social change, kayaking, and looking at ancient maps.
Emma Boxer is a freshman at Livingston High school in Livingston, New Jersey. She is the vice president of the archery club, and plays the trumpet in her high school’s symphonic and jazz band. She loves to volunteer at her local zoo and spends her free time caring for her various pets.
Emma Guzowski is a member of the class year 2024 at Country Day School in Costa Rica. She is passionate about mixed-media art, crafting, and mathematics. In her spare time, she likes to read, write personal stories, and knit. She is president of her own environmentalist organization and editor of her school's newspaper.
Emma Hotchkiss is in tenth grade at Hopkins School in New Haven, Connecticut. She plays softball, field hockey, and is a member of her school's choir. Her favorite subjects are science and english, and in her free time she loves to read and write.
Emma Meyers is a member of the class of 2027 at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania. She writes and makes many types of art, but her love for all of it stems from her love of filmmaking. She was a member of Generation Next with the Santa Fe New Mexican, and has written several pieces for the National Women’s History Museum in Washington, D.C. Her writing has also been featured in Heroica, The Ibis, The Decameron Project, The Spectre Review, and more. Her films have screened in New York and New Mexico, with one showing in a 2022 festival in Portugal. One of her most recent short films won the Sci-fi/Fantasy category in the Film Prize Jr New Mexico contest. Her writing now also features in Bryn Mawr’s Spoon Fed Sketch Comedy’s sketches. She recently realized that a lot of her work has subconsciously been about recovery, queerness, and being a bad driver.
Emma Nathanson is a 2020 high school graduate and member of the seventh cohort of Tivnu: Building Justice, a Jewish social justice gap year program in Portland, Oregon. At Tivnu, she interns at Street Roots, a street newspaper and advocacy hub, where she writes articles on youth activism and researches the housing crisis. Emma will be attending Williams College in the fall.
Emma Rosman lives in Northern Virginia, serves on BBYO's International Board, and is a founder of a Students Demand Action chapter.
Emma Shalmiyev is a member of the class of 2024 at Kohelet Yeshiva High School in Merion Station, Pennsylvania. Emma has performed in her school’s music showcase, both in high school and middle school. She enjoys reading, writing, singing, and playing video games. Emma also comes from a multicultural background, as her parents lived in Azerbaijan, but were originally from Iran and Iraq.
Emmie Wolf-Dubin is a member of the class of 2026 in Nashville, Tennessee. Her favorite subject in school is math, but reading is her true love. When she isn't busy writing her novel, she's probably either playing basketball or out for a run.
Eva Strelitz-Block is a senior at the Liberal Arts and Science Academy in Austin, Texas. She is an editor of the Liberator, her school newspaper, president of her school’s chapter of the Spanish National Honor Society, and a varsity coxswain for the Texas Rowing Center. Eva is a voracious reader and an amateur podcast enthusiast.
Eve Blumenthal is a member of the class of 2024 at Longleaf School of the Arts. She is taking a photography class at school and enjoys doing karate, learning languages such as ASL, and the arts such as visual and technical theater. She loves helping out backstage in her school's theater department for shows.
