Dahlia Matanky is a member of the class of 2021 at Ida Crown Jewish Academy in Chicago, Illinois. She is the head editor of her school creative literature magazine, op-ed editor of her school newspaper, president of the feminism and Interact clubs, and participates in a variety of other clubs and organizations. She is a passionate advocate, friend, student, and person all around. Her plant collection is always growing, with a current total of 21 plants in her bedroom.

Dahlia Soussan is a junior at Kehillah Jewish High School in the Bay Area, California. She is active in her school community as the president of the Israel Club, a leader of her school’s minyan, a member of Jewish Life Committee, and the leader of Kehillah’s Moot Beit Din team. She enjoys engaging and grappling with the complexities of the US/Israel relationship through Israel Club events and by facilitating conversations about Israel. Outside of school, you can find Dahlia writing fiction and prose, cooking, on long phone calls with friends, or passionately discussing political, religious, and cultural issues.

She plays the flute in her school band and is involved in marching band, National Honor Society, and Spanish Honor Society. She is passionate about history and learning foreign languages, loves to paint and draw, and enjoys hiking and biking in the woods with her family.

Danielle Deculus is a member of the class of 2024 at Louisville High School in Woodland Hills, California. She is on the varsity tennis team at school and participates in multiple clubs like Film, Philosophy, and Cooking club. Danielle enjoys being active, but also relaxing at home, whether it be reading, watching Netflix, writing, or online shopping. She is very passionate about photography and hopes to become a professional photographer one day.

Dina Ocken is in the class of 2021 at The Beacon School, a public high school in New York City. She loves ultimate frisbee, math, and science and has a passion for working with kids on the autism spectrum. She hopes to be a doctor someday and spends as much time as she can shadowing an OB-GYN in labor and delivery at the local hospital.

Dr. Aly Mandel is a clinical psychologist who has been in practice for 20 years, with a focus in child and adolescent psychology. As a mother of five kids, she understands the workings of the teenage mind on both a professional and personal level. She believes that a sense of perspective and a sense of humor are indispensable tools in getting through this tumultuous time.

Dr. Sharon Weiss-Greenberg is the executive director of JOFA (Jewish Orthodox Feminist Alliance). She has been the co-director of the Orthodox Union's JLIC (Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus) at Harvard; and was the Rosh Moshava (Head of Camp) at Camp Stone. She studied at Drisha, received her BA and MA from Yeshiva University, and earned her doctorate at New York University as a Wexner Davidson Fellow.
