Jacqueline Flash (Jacq for short) is a junior at North Atlanta High School in Atlanta, Georgia. She is enrolled in her school’s JROTC program and holds the highest rank for her level. She is also the USY chapter president of her synagogue. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, drawing and painting or spending time with her parents and two brothers.
Jada Bromberg is a member of the class of 2026 at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She grew up in Fairfax, Virginia and is a passionate mental health and adoption advocate. Jada is also a singer/songwriter and has music released on all platforms.
Jada Cohen is a member of the class of 2024 at Gann Academy in Newton, Massachusetts. She serves on her volleyball team and leads a volunteer club. Jada is passionate about psychology and language, and in her spare time she likes to listen to rap music. Jada can always be found playing frisbee in her local park.
Jade Lowe was born in Manhattan, New York, but at the age of three, moved to Melbourne, Australia. She is in 11th grade at Mount Scopus Memorial College. Jade is a member of her school debate team as well as in a leadership program to educate students at religious schools of other faiths about Judaism. Her favorite subjects at school are psychology and English, and she is passionate about traveling and fashion.
Jamie Klinger is a senior at Livingston High School in New Jersey. She has been previously published by the American Library of Poetry and was a runner up in the New York Times Blackout Poetry Contest. She loves writing, history, and spending time with her friends.
Jazmine Rose is a member of the class of 2024 at Kohelet Yeshiva High School in Pennsylvania and uses she/her pronouns. She is of a mixed background, lives with just her mom, and leads a Modern Orthodox lifestyle. She likes hanging out with friends and cooking something up in the kitchen. She enjoys reading, writing, and also finds great relaxation in drawing and painting. She is a well-rounded person who likes to have fun and try new things. Her main goal is to make the people around her happy everywhere she goes.
Jemima Schoen is a member of the class of 2028 at Johns Hopkins University. Her interests include environmental science, creative writing, feminism, and philosophy. She loves the jGirls+ community and is so grateful for the three years she served on the editorial board, including as head of the Poetry Department!
Jess is a junior at North Allegheny High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is an aspiring journalist and photographer. She enjoys dancing, playing music, taking photos, writing, making art, and playing with her two dogs.
Jessica Rosenblatt is a senior at Mamaroneck High School in Mamaroneck, New York. Apart from writing, Jessica enjoys playing tennis, taking walks with her dog, and watching movies with her friends.
Jessie Schwalb is a senior at Huron High School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is a 2020-21 Rising Voices Fellow through the Jewish Women’s Archive. Beyond her interest in writing, she is an active member of the Sunrise Movement and captain of her school’s Mock Trial team.
Jillian Miller, LSCW is a licensed clinical social worker. She has been working with children, adolescents and parents for 20 years. She lives and works in Westchester County, New York. She is married and has a son in high school and a daughter in middle school.
Joanna Wallack is a member of the class of 2024 at the Paideia School is Atlanta, Georgia. She loves spending time with her friends and is passionate about English. In her spare time, Joanna likes to listen to music, go shopping, and dance.
Joelle Reiter (she/her) is a student at Northwestern University. She is studying biology and loves all things science, literature and theatre.
Judy Goldstein is a member of the class of 2025 at Barnard College and the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City. She is originally from Bethesda, Maryland, where she did stage crew and made short films. Now that she’s at college, she takes photos for the Columbia Spectator and does a lot of scrapbooking.
Julia Gross is a member of the class of 2025 at The Nightingale-Bamford School in Manhattan, NY. In her free time, she enjoys reading, drawing, and walking around her neighborhood.
Julia Slavin is a member of the class of 2024 at Laguardia High School of the Arts, in New York City. She is a member of the Doo-Wop club at her school. Julia is passionate about history and writing, especially combining the two. Last year, she wrote a novel about love in World War II England. In her spare time, she does lots of writing, but she also enjoys biking and playing with her dog. Julia was in a documentary about the Holocaust in fifth grade.
Julie Edelstein is a freshman at Montgomery High School in Skillman, New Jersey. At school, she is on the fencing team and writes for the newspaper. She also loves attending concerts, marches, and going to musicals with her friends and family. When she isn’t reading or writing, Julie can be found taking photos or playing her ukulele.
Juliet is currently a high school senior in South Florida. Spreading information through writing has been her passion for as long as she can remember. She fell in love with the journalism world after writing for her school and local newspaper.
Justine Fisher is a senior at La Canada High School in La Canada, California. She is secretary of her speech and debate team, and enjoys volunteering to tutor little kids in reading. She also spends much of her free time reading the news, articles, and books.
