Rabbi Rachel Ain is the Rabbi of Sutton Place Synagogue, a Conservative synagogue in Midtown Manhattan. In the past she has served as the Senior Director of National Young Leadership at JFNA and sits on the board of the Solomon Schechter School of Manhattan as well as the Chancellor's Cabinet of Jewish Theological Seminary. She and her husband, Rabbi David Levy, live on the east side with their two sons.
Rachael is a senior at Sachem North High School in Nesconset, New York. She has a deep love of reading, writing, and cats.
Rachael Rosenberg, born and raised in Los Angeles, is a former jGirls+ staff photographer who is studying photography at New York University (class of 2028). Rachael’s dream is to become a photojournalist and documentary photographer for head-turning events and help the community and world through photography.
Rachel Dinces is from Scarsdale, New York, and is a member of the class of 2022 at Edgemont High School. She likes languages, writing, and cats. Rachel is a survivor of mental illness and a strong advocate for mental health.
Rachel Kauffman is a member of the class of 2025 at Central Academy of Technology & Arts in Monroe, NC. She is an Eagle Scout and staffs leadership trainings for teenagers. Rachel loves art and the outdoors and spends most her time either camping or creating.
Rachel Kaufman lives in Boise, Idaho, and is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. She is a senior in high school and passionate about art, skiing, theater, pluralism, and feminism. She loves to travel. Visiting Ethiopia, Lithuania, and Israel have shaped the way she sees the world and herself. She is on the jGirls+ Editorial Board where she works in the art and poetry departments.
Rachel Michtom is a junior at Lake Oswego High School in Lake Oswego, Oregon. She plays flute in her high school band and is very involved with the choir and drama programs at her school. Rachel loves math, English and chemistry, and is very excited to be published in jGirls+.
Rachel Zacky is a member of the class of 2024 at Notre Dame High School in Los Angeles, CA. Rachel is involved in her synagogue youth group and loves to embroider clothes. She is also passionate about helping people and aspires to be a pediatric nurse. Rachel's favorite TV show is New Girl.
Rama Lapidus is a 17 year old senior in high school. She will be attending The New School in the fall and is very excited to make a difference in the world. She loves to use words to express herself.
Rebecca is a junior at Fieldston High School in New York City. When she isn't writing poetry, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, eating, cooking, and singing.
Rebecca Guzman is a member of the class of 2022 at Bruriah High School for Girls in Elizabeth, New Jersey. She is co-captain of the Debate Team and a co-editor of the school's literary magazine. Rebecca is passionate about writing and music, and can often be found baking, reading, or playing guitar.
Rebecca Norman is a senior at E.O Smith High School. She lives with both of her parents next to a lake, where she participates in crew, which has helped her make many new friends.
Rebekah Friedman is a junior at Merced High School in Merced, California. She enjoys reading and photography and hopes to one day become a teacher in the Jewish community. She loves to hang out with her friends on the weekends, but summer camp is her life.
Regina Hopkins is a member of the class of 2021 at Fairfield Warde High School in Fairfield, Connecticut. They’re known as “Reggie” to friends and family. Regina plays the viola in their high school orchestra, holds a leadership position in the club Students for Music, and participates in their school’s science bowl team. Regina is passionate about many things within the realm of the humanities and the sciences, and in their spare time they like to read and play with their dogs.
Reut Skromne is a member of the class of 2024. She enjoys swimming, drawing and volleyball.
Reyna is a junior at SAR High School, a Modern Orthodox Jewish day school in the Bronx section of New York. She loves exploring big questions in conversation, art, Torah, and writing.
Riley Fisher is a junior at La Canada High School in La Canada, California. She is an officer of her speech and debate team and volunteers at a suicide/crisis hotline for teens in need. She is active in the Jewish community and loves to read and write.
Rina Shamilov is from Brooklyn, NY and is currently studying English Literature at Stern College for Women. She loves quiet places, the night time, and taking long walks in the forest.
Rivka Mandelbaum is a senior at the Fayth Aronson-Berkowitz Girls High School of Hillel Academy of Pittsburgh. She co-founded and remains involved in her school newspaper, and is one of the two Student Directors of her school's play. She enjoys science, especially neuroscience, and writing. She is on the jGirls+ Editorial Board as a member of the Fiction Department and as Editorial Coordinator, sorting submissions and coordinating behind-the-scenes efforts.
Rivka Resnick is a member of the class of 2021 from Massachusetts. She enjoys reading, writing, art, and music, as well as riding her bike and making videos.
Rivka Schafer (they/them) is a member of the class of 2023 at The Idea School in Teaneck, New Jersey. They love art, nature, and activism. Their hobbies include acting, photography, singing, writing, painting, swimming, and gardening. They have been dubbed “the ray of sunshine” by their friends and love to emulate positivity. Their biggest goal in life is to change the world for the better.
Rochel Leah Itzkowitz is a junior at the Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey. She lives in New York and enjoys reading and writing. She is an editor-in-chief of her school’s literary magazine and loves learning about Jewish values.
Rotem Kadosh is a senior at Atlanta Jewish Academy and lives in Dunwoody, Georgia. She loves playing volleyball and basketball and hanging out with friends.
Ruby Rosenblatt is an 8th grade student at West End Secondary School in New York City. She is passionate about politics, feminism, and Harry Potter.
Ruby Stillman is a freshman at Emory University. She values her Jewish community, the arts, and social justice.
Ruthie Stolovitz is a Junior at the Weber School in Atlanta Georgia. She enjoys cooking, playing with her dog and art!
