With Grandma

Artist Statement:

I spend parts of my summers on my grandma’s farm with no electricity or modern amenities. We spend most of our time playing Scrabble or creating art out of nature. This piece was my favorite creation from this past summer.

Kate is a member of the class of 2028 at the Latin School of Chicago. She is passionate about STEM and medicine and loves spending time with her dog Louie. Traveling around the country for fencing competitions allows her free time at the airports and in between bouts to knit while listening to her favorite music. One thing that all her friends and family know about her is that she loves exclamation points!
