Artist’s Statement

“Teenage Fever” is a black-and-white photograph that narrates a unique moment in our collective history: the transition from online learning back to in-person schooling during the COVID-19 era. This piece is the product of a film camera, processed by hand, bringing an intimate touch to the storytelling.

The setting is a school hallway, a common and yet profoundly symbolic environment. The central figure, a solitary boy walking alongside open lockers, symbolizes the isolation and the overwhelming shift experienced by teenagers during this period.
