Hi! I’m Orli Adamski (she/her), a member of the class of 2025 at The Nightingale-Bamford School in New York City. I am passionate about social justice, art and literature, and plants and animals. I’m a member of my school’s environmental board and coeditor in chief of Philomel, our school literary magazine. I also love music and singing. I am a member of my school chorus and chamber chorus and love participating in school theater. In my limited spare time, I can also be found in the library or engaging in loose philosophical debate with friends.

At age 7, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) which affects my life every single day. I volunteer at and work with Breakthrough T1D in hopes of improving the lives of those living with T1D and eventually finding a cure. I had the opportunity to travel to Washington, DC as a NY delegate for the 2023 JDRF Children’s Congress. I met with my members of Congress to advocate for insulin affordability and research funding and share my story. Above all, I think sharing stories is incredibly important, and it is an honor to be a part of helping the jGirls+ community share theirs.
