Hi! I’m Julianna Stein (she/her), and I’m a member of the class of 2027 living in Baltimore, MD. I care deeply about the power of words, storytelling, and community, which has led me to pursue writing and advocacy in many forms. At my Jewish day school, I volunteer weekly at our preschool daycare program, regularly tutor my peers through the National Honor Society, and serve as the leader of both our gun violence prevention club and culinary club. I also participated in 4Front’s Social Innovation Fellowship and was recently honored with my school’s Keter Shem Tov Award. I’m also a counselor at a Jewish summer nursery camp and an active member of my Reform synagogue community, where I participated in the confirmation program, the affiliated L’Taken Social Justice Seminar, and the RAC Teen Justice Fellowship. Being Jewish is a meaningful part of my identity and has shaped the values I bring to the world, especially the Jewish values of justice and storytelling.

When I’m not studying, I love reading novels, drawing, baking desserts, listening to music, and watching TV, as well as spending time with my family and friends. As I return for my second year on staff, I’m excited to continue learning from, collaborating with, and helping amplify the voices of other Jewish teens.
