Hello! My name is Edie Berins (she/her), and I am a member of the class of 2028 in Houston, TX. Jewish community is deeply important to me, and I am an active member of my high schools JSU and a leader at my synagogue’s Kehillah High. In addition to this, I have been attending Jewish summer camp since I was young and go to shul with my grandparents every Saturday. I have always loved to write, but recently have found my writing to be more politically motivated than usual. It is important to me to keep up with the news and current events, specifically those happening in the Middle East, and try and speak up for what I believe in through paper and pen.
