Hi! My name is Arden Brown (she/her), and I’m a member of the class of 2027 at the Latin School of Chicago in Chicago, IL. A few years ago, my sister and I co-founded Living Outside, a nonprofit dedicated to destigmatizing homelessness through direct conversation and connection. I’m deeply passionate about acknowledging the shared humanity of people who are often overlooked and finding ways to build bridges between communities.
In addition to my work with Living Outside, I work as a madricha at my synagogue’s Sunday school, where I love mentoring kids in Jewish studies. I’m also an editor of my school yearbook and a field hockey player. Reading and writing have always been huge parts of my life, and I’m always searching for ways to dive into new perspectives and tell stories that challenge assumptions. Being a part of the jGirls+ community is another way I get to connect with others, share my voice, and learn from the diverse stories and experiences around me.
